Whenever we talk about energy saving, we face inquestions about the quality of the LED.

"All LED are same ?" 

Let's talk a little about LED and Process of production to understand more.

The earliest LED's were major used for indicators lights, applications like display pannel, and other since 1960's. From the year 2000's began theutilization of LED's to make bulb, tubes and other developments. So we can see the LED's technology used for white lighting to make illumination have just 15 years. 

NOT All LED CHIPS ARE CREATED EQUAL
LED's use semiconductor though you may think this type of technology is quite sophisticated, and the current technology has become more stable in recent years.
LED light quality can vary quite greatly between batches and each batch may be categorized in different qualities of  The correlated color temperature (CCT) grade, The CIE color rendering index (CRI) level,  Luminous Flux Intensity, sold with different prices according the level of quality and technology holded by manufacturer. 
In fact, CPU's used in computers are also semiconductor based and have similar issues and they cannot guarantee the same exact performance from batch to batch and measures must be taken to moderate performance expectations (e.g.over-clocking). 
LED MANUFACTURING PROFESSIONAL
The LED manufacturing professionals are divided in basic three types:

  • LED Chip Manufacturer
  • LED Chip Package Assembling Manufacturer
  • LED Lightingh Assembling Manufacturer

LED CHIP MANUFACTURER
The LED Chip Manufacturer produces semiconductor chips that come on wafers.
LED CHIP PACKAGE ASSEMBLING MANUFACTURER
The LED Chip Package Manufacturer, use robotics system to apply the appropriate circuitry (wiring) and cut the wafer into chips. This chips are tested for color and light properties (robotically) and at this point are classified and physically separated into BINs. Than chips from one BIN are mounted on a circuit board. After that fluorescent film is also added. After further preparation, they are cut into individual circuit boards.

LED CHIP LIGHTING ASSEMBLING MANUFACTURER
The final process for the finish product assembling LED chip to a lighting houses and adding power supply, and other to finalize the lighting products.
In this step, the technology of each manufacture will make a great difference in the final quality from brand of chip used and warranty for the quality, BIN level used, heat dissipation technology, housing desing technology, lens and reflector technology used, power supply technology used inside electronic components used, and other will make a great effect in the final quality of product and also will affect in the percentage of energy save, lifetime of product, luminous intensity (candela) , certificates of quality can pass and others...

THE FINAL PRODUCT RESULT WILL BE DIFFERENT 
Separator manufactures have different choice in the final product of each Manufacture, and also the technology of each manufacture and process of production will make influence in the final product.
